This is Not Your Average Online Marketing Podcast, episode number 76. And in this episode, we are talking about sales streaks. What does it mean to generate sales daily in your business? How can you do it? And what I've learned in the month of February. So without further ado, let's get into it.

Hey, hey, hey, not so average marketer. Welcome to another episode of the podcast. Now, I am really excited for this week's episode because I have been doing, well, first, I should say I'm first really excited because I'm anticipating that in the next one or two weeks we're going to cross over 500,000 downloads since I started podcasting. And I was sitting with that the other day, and I was thinking, man, 500,000 downloads. That's so cool. We're currently sitting at about 499,000 at the time that I'm recording this episode. And I was like, This is so stinking cool.

And then I started to notice these thoughts creep in, like, well, you have over 220 some episodes. You should have been here sooner, and why didn't you make more progress? And why haven't you been more consistent with the podcast? And full transparency, the Not Your Average Online Marketing Podcast is a rebrand of the Heart, Soul & Hustle Podcast, which is included in those downloads. So this is like 500,000 downloads since the beginning of time, so to speak. And I just wanted to share that with you guys because I think so often we look at numbers and we're like, Whoa, how did this person get to so many? We had 151 episodes of the Heart, Soul & Hustle Podcast. This is episode number 75 of Not Your Average Online Marketing Podcast. And first, I just want to express my gratitude to you as a listener of the podcast.

This would be nothing if we didn't have people listening to it. And two, I wanted to express the gratitude that I have for that number because, like I said, I've gone through this phase of being like, man, why isn't it bigger? Or why isn't it this? Or why isn't it that? But at the end of the day, I'm so stinking grateful for not just our listeners, but for everything I've learned from doing this podcast, what's possible because of this podcast. And I just want to sit in gratitude for a second and say how stinking cool it is to have almost 500,000 downloads. So thank you.

The other thing that gets me really geeked up and excited about this podcast is that I want to talk about sales streaks. And this is something that I was kind of introduced to as a concept by a friend and peer of mine, Lizzie Goddard. And she has a program called Silver Moon Sales. And I joined up with that program because the concept of this program, just to give you some background, is generating 27 days in a row of a new sale in your business.

And obviously, this works good if you have multiple products and evergreen products. And it's not about selling one big signature course every single day, though you could potentially do that if that's the big goal. But Lizzie has a low-ticket to high-ticket product offer suite, and I was like, you know what? We don't have a million products, but we have a few, and it'd be really cool to have a 27-day streak. And I will link up to her program in the show notes, as well her wait list. I am an affiliate for that, full transparency, but I've gone through some of this stuff in there and learned a little bit about what works for me, what I want to do. And so what I wanted to share with you today is we're currently on day 19, and I don't want to jinx it, but I do want to share of our 27-day sales streak.

So as of today, Friday, March 1st, we are on day 19 of our sales streak. And so I'm recording this one in real time because I wanted to share that exact number. And I wanted to tell you that in February, we had a sale 93% of the days of February. So February 5th and 11th were the only two days we didn't see a sale in our business and specifically a new sale, a sale of a product. It could be from a past customer, but it was a new sale. It wasn't like a recurring payment on our membership or a recurring payment for a client in the agency. It was like new fresh sale into the business. And I just thought that was pretty cool. So that's what I want to talk to you about today is kind of like this concept of creating consistent and ongoing sales streaks in your business and really how we've been able to do that, how we've been able to make it happen.

So the first thing that I think is super important if you're looking to create a sales streak in your business is understanding that you have to ask for a sale every single day. And I think people get really overwhelmed by that concept, but it's like, I'm not saying you have to be selling every day, but you have to be asking for a sale every day. And we do that a number of different ways, and I'm going to talk about that. But for us, it's a lot through email automation and ads automation. That's what we rely on for our streak. And so when you're looking at your automation, what you need to realize is that if you don't have people joining your list every day, it's harder to make the streak without doing something really proactive every day. What we do is we run our ads 24/7 for our list-building campaign, and as people go through our list-building campaign, they go through, I think right now it's 12 days.

Our goal is to get it up to 14 to 20 days sequence that promotes our Facebook Ads Bootcamp. And we are trying to sell a copy of our bootcamp every day. Now, if we have 10, 20, 30 people joining our list every single day, and it's a 12-day sequence, let's just say half of those emails, six emails are being sales-based emails, then every 12 days we have about 100 to 120 people seeing an offer for our bootcamp every single day. So every day, because there's a sequence firing every day, half of the people in our 12-day sequence are seeing an offer to buy the bootcamp, right? Now, we also have upsells, down-sells, cross-sells. We move people into our membership as a result of that bootcamp. So we have email sequences, but you have to ask for a sale every day. And so that does mean there were days where I was like, oh, it's kind of quiet.

And so I would send an email. So that's the other piece of this. You can absolutely manually implement some of this and ask for a sale every day manually. And some of the days we did do that, we were like, oh, it's kind of quiet. Should we send an email to promote a sale? And so I'll give you a really specific example. Last Friday, we sent out an email talking about openings we had for one-on-one or agency work with me. And we just said, Hey, we've got these spots open. We reached out to our warm audience, which we're building all the time, and we said, Hey, if you're interested in one of these openings, hit reply. And we ended up selling a couple of VIP days into the next couple months. We ended up getting a launch client, and we have two clients that are currently considering ongoing ads management, and we brought those new clients into the business.

So yes, you want to automate asking for a sale every day, but the other thing is, don't be afraid to ask for a sale on social media, in your email. And I always love to say, especially as you're getting started in your business, or your earlier on in your business, or your revenue's still growing from intentional activity, you're not seeing a lot of passive sales yet. Don't be afraid to get scrappy. So I have, throughout this, reached out to people, not a whole lot because we do have a lot of automation in place, but we reached out to people and we followed up with people. This morning I sent out a follow-up email to somebody I had talked to a week ago and who was like, I'll let you know over the next week or two, and we didn't hear anything back, so we sent a follow-up email.

Don't be afraid to do the activities that "don't scale," because those things can work really well. Don't be afraid to reach out to somebody who, a week ago, said, Oh, I'm going to jump in. And then didn't. Reach out and say, Hey, I noticed you didn't jump in yet. Did you have any questions I can answer? No pressure, just wanted to check in with you and see if there was any way I could support. You can absolutely do those things. Now, the other thing that I said there really subtly and then skated by is we've also used social media a little bit. So I don't really do a ton of social media. If you go check me out on Instagram, you're going to notice that I, one, don't have a ton of followers. We're at 899 followers. I know it's all subjective, but we only have 12 posts.

And the last two posts were Instagram reels that I did this week. But prior to that, you wouldn't have seen me post on social media since November 6th, 2023, and I shouldn't say social media, I should say Instagram, but I share that because I want you to know that sometimes we sit on social media. And I did that, and we did a post the other day that was just an Instagram reel that basically was like, Hey, comment below if you want a freebie on our Facebook Ads Evergreen Engine. And this is our strategy, I'm going to talk about this today too, for creating an engine that generates leads, engagement, and sales on a daily basis for our business. And we ended up getting, even though we didn't get a ton of likes, we ended up getting 21 people, if I'm doing my math right, yeah, 21 people commented on that and said, send me the freebie, right?

Now, not everybody opts in, but we sent everybody who commented a copy of the freebie. And then, guess what? On the freebie thank-you page, we had a trip wire. We basically, and a tripwire, if you're new around here, is where you make an offer directly on the thank-you page from a freebie. So it's like the minute they opt in, they're being made a relatively low-ticket offer, and that works exceptionally well for us. We do that for both our Facebook ads, but I also do it for my organic marketing that drives people to my freebies. So anytime I'm doing a freebie, I'm basically making an offer on the thank-you page because there's a small percentage of your audience that's going to buy right away. And even if they don't buy right away, they now know what you have for sale. And I'm a huge believer that you don't need to make the sale right away to get the revenue, but showing people your offers early on and daily is a really great way to build trust and make sure that people know how to work with you.

You want to make it easy to work with you. Now, I touched on this briefly, and that is that we also have what I call the Evergreen Ads Engine. And the Evergreen Ads Engine, and I have a full episode on this, episode number 66, so I won't go too, too in depth, but I want to talk you through what it is really on a basic level, right? Now, the Evergreen Ads Engine is a three-tier system that drives people into our business. So every day we're growing our email list with lead generation ads. That's the first tier. And so every single day, we're getting new leads. I think in the last 30 days it's been a little slow because we're actually paying a little more per lead right now than I'd like, and we're working on fixing that. But in the last 30 days of our business, we've had, in terms of new subscribers, about 572 people join our list.

Again, that number's a little lower than I'd like, but we're working on improving our ads themselves, and we run those every single day. Now, if you're listening to this and you're like, How the heck do I do that? How do I actually grow my email list every day? You can check out theadsbootcamp.com. I know there's a pre-roll promotion before this episode that talks a little bit about that potentially. But theadsbootcamp.com is our $25 Facebook ads for list growth training. We have over 100 testimonials for that. We don't put them all on the page because it would get a little cluttered. We're going to add some more soon though, but we have over 100 testimonials, and we've put thousands of people through that bootcamp and just seeing really stellar results. So if you're like, okay, I'm bought in that I want to grow my email list every day and put automation in place, theadsbootcamp.com is going to be your go-to place.

The second tier that we have is the retargeting of new leads with social media content. So you don't have to post on social media every day to have social media content. But what we do is we take some of our best-performing reels, episodes of the podcast, audiograms, videos, or just static posts on Instagram, and we run them for engagement to everyone who's joining our email list, plus our entire warm audience. So every single day, even if we don't have a major promotion or I haven't posted on social media, my warm audience is getting an ad with a piece of content. And like I said, that could be linking to the podcast, that could be linking to a blog post, but in reality, it's linking to something or it's a static social media post that's just encouraging engagement. So right now, we have a past episode of the podcast running that's had over 50 some clicks to it in the last two weeks.

So it's not like it's crazy, but we also don't spend a crazy amount on it. We spend a small percentage of the budget. I think right now we're spending $5 a day on that ad. It's not a crazy amount, but it keeps your warm content top of mind with all your audience. The other thing to keep in mind about this is that it's also going to help people find you on Facebook and Instagram and encourage the growth of your Facebook page and your Instagram account, okay? Now the third piece of this is that, remember, I told you at the beginning of this episode or early on in this episode that we're asking for a sale every day in our sequence? And I also mentioned that we're doing a tripwire for our freebies for people who join our email list. Well, that means that people every single day are visiting the sales pages for our Facebook ads bootcamp, which again is at theadsbootcamp.com if you want to see it.

I will caution you. If you go to theadsbootcamp.com, our Facebook pixel will trigger, and we automatically re-target anyone who's seen either the tripwire page or the sales page separate from the tripwire page. So we have two pages, one that you see after you opt in and one that you see if you're in our email sequence. But it's the same product, the same order bumps, the same upsell process, and this works really well because it's all your really warm audience. And we spend a little more on this one because we're driving a lot of leads. We spend about $10 a day on that one to push more people into engaging with our products. And so it's worked really well for us, where, like I said, we saw sales 93% of the days in February. So we know our retargeting and our opt-in campaign, and our rolling engagement campaign are working really well because, I would say, about 80% of the days in February, we didn't post on social media.

We didn't email our list. I actually did a really bad job emailing my list this month, just to be totally candid, but it works, right? And when I email my list, I reference my freebie or my bootcamp so that I'm generating more opt-in sales and engagement. That's our Evergreen Ads Engine. I do have a complete PDF of that that you can check out. If you want to check that out, all you have to do is head over to Instagram. I'm at Zach Spuckler, Z-A-C-H S-P-U-C-K-L-E-R, at Zach Spuckler, and if you DM me the word engine, I will respond and send you over the freebie. Cool.

So just DM me the word engine, and we'll send it over. And if you have any questions, you can also DM me there. I love hearing from you guys and what you think about our episodes and our content, so don't be afraid to do that. Now, the last thing that I will say about generating a sales streak or keeping sales going on a consistent basis is that for us, it comes down to integrating. It doesn't come down to, I don't know why I said that. In addition to all that, we also integrate our content with our offers. So what do I mean by that? Basically, if you listen to our podcast, depending on when you're listening to this, you're going to hear a pre-roll ad, and we do that through our podcast software, and it applies it to every episode.

So at the time that I'm recording this, there was a little 60 or 90-second blurb for our Facebook ads bootcamp at the beginning of the episode. And what that means is that before our episode starts, people are hearing a short roll of content that encourages them to buy our program. And so if I'm being consistent with the podcast, which admittedly I did better this month, but still not quite where I want to be or blogging or content, I'm integrating my freebies and my paid offers into my regular content. So when all is said and done, my regular content, as people find it, whether it be through the podcast, we also get some Google traffic every month, we're setting it up so that our content that gets seen also leads to sales. Cool. So I'm just going to recap some of the stuff that we covered today just to give you the overview.

Now, as always, we'll have a full episode, show notes, and transcripts over at heartsoulhustle.com/nyap076. Again, that's heartsoulhustle.com/nyap076 for Not Your Average Podcast episode number 76. But we talked about a couple different things. We talked about how you need to ask for the sale every single day, and whether that's through social media or emails that you send manually, great. But you also want to set up an automation for all your new leads that are consistently being put through either Facebook, or Instagram, or whatever to opt into your email list. And speaking of having daily opt-ins, we also recommend that you have an upsell on your freebie, or we call it a tripwire, where people who join your email list are being made that offer right away. So now you're doing it in two ways. One, all new subscribers see an offer, but two, all new subscribers see a sequence where they're regularly being asked to join your products.

Then we talked a little bit about social media and email, how we do send out emails that include links to our products. We also have podcast content that we're putting out. And then the big thing that we talked about, which I really do attribute as the cornerstone to our success, is the Evergreen Ads Engine. And that's that three-tier approach of growing your list, engaging your new list, and retargeting people who look at your paid products. Again, if you want a copy of a PDF that walks you through that complete engine, DM me over on Instagram at Zach Spuckler, just DM me the word engine, and I will send it right over to you. We use some cool automation software, so you won't even have to wait. It will come to you right away. So I hope you got lots of value from this episode. Again, you can check out the show notes over at heartsoulhustle.com/nyap076.

We will link up everything over there. The Silver Moon Sales Program from Lizzie Goddard, which is currently on a wait list. It's not currently open, but you can get on the wait list. We'll link up to the Evergreen Ads Engine podcast episode. We'll link up to me on Instagram, and if you have any questions or even if you just loved the show, let me know over on Instagram. I love hearing from you guys. It's always fun to hear what people think of the show, so don't hesitate to DM me. And if you really love the show, don't hesitate to leave a review. We love getting reviews from our audience, so it's always fun to hear from you guys both on Instagram, but we really, really, really, really love it when we see a review because it's nice to know that you guys are enjoying it, and it's fun reading them. So all that being said, I hope you have an incredible rest of your week, weekend, depending on when you're listening. And until next time, stay not so average.
