Note to Self: You Suck!

Come on Zach, I told myself.  How is it that  you had an entire 3 weeks to launch a site, design a program, and do a product launch and yet you didn't make tens of thousands of dollars? I was being a horrible to me...

People around you are already showering you with compliments about how much you're doing.  They tell you about how amazing it is that you have an online business, or how they wish they could do what you're doing, and yet somehow we feel like the opposite of "successful" at times.

In the midst of our pure epic awesomeness, we find a way to say, "yeah but..."  After several years online, I've have decided that yeah but is a dream crusher.  It says, I've done great things, but I'm not focused on that!

Let me share with you a few things I did in the course of 7 days:

• Took a new mailing list from 0 to 400 subscribers
• Made money selling a new course which more then paid for its advertising
• Created and published an opt-in for my site
• Designed and launched a new course, sales page, and sales funnel

Lots of people told me things like, "I wish I had those results" and "dude great hustle, that amazing." It's awesome to hear people saying how much you've achieve but I still had a case of the, yeah buts.

I found myself thinking, yeah it's great that I did all of that in a week but I didn't hit my 5-figure goal.

Dammit man! In 7 days you had the courage and the drive to do things that people will spend months and YEARS thinking about doing (I should have to myself).

It doesn't really matter what I achieved because this post isn't about me - it's about you.

Do you think you suck?  I mean, does the tape that is playing in your head 24/7 pay you compliments and let you admit to how freakin' epic you are?

You're already doing epic stuff!  Have you set up a WordPress Blog, 80% of people talk about doing it and never do!  Did you email the "only" 5 people on your list, kudos because 90% of people never start a list...

We think that since "everyone" started a WordPress that our's doesn't matter WRONG!

Online business is unique because we find ourselves surrounded by greatness with a low barrier of entry. Websites, Podcasts, Video Blogs - they all make it seem like the only people online are millionaires - but they aren't.

You are a small fish in the sea.  But the ocean is a delicate eco system, and we need you.  Someone out there needs your product, experience or expertise - no if, ands or yeah buts about it.

Bottom line - you don't suck.

YES!  Time to exhale a sigh of relief.

Stop deflecting compliments, stop thinking you aren't good enough.  Embrace the epic things you've done and smile as you realize it's the first few steps in an amazing journey.

Just don't get a big head.
