HSH 045: 7 Strategies I’m Using To Scale Up in 2017
On today’s show, I share the 7 strategies I’ll be bringing into 2017 to take Heart, Soul & Hustle to the next level. Get ready, because it’s a new year and time to go BIG!
1) Really targeted re-targeting Facebook ad campaigns
We’ve gotten to a point where we now have more than one re-targeting ad when we do a promotion. By running an ad specific to the action a person has taken, like visiting our sales page, we’ll continue to achieve amazing results and get engagement with our blog posts, webinars, free content being offered and much more.
2) Logic-based launches, segmenting and surveys
In the past, everyone in our launches received the same email sequence, but by segmenting, our customers will tell us what they want to see. By doing this, at various points throughout the year and during launches, we’ll be able to send content that is relevant to them.
3) Bringing back organic promotion
Looking back at 2016, one thing we were weak in was doing really consistent organic promotion. A lot of our success came from a big push of Facebook ads, or a podcast interview, but not from us consistently putting out good content. To do this, we’re bringing people onto the team to help create more social media content by taking my words and making them more social media friendly.
4) Outsourcing my weaknesses
By outsourcing my weaknesses, I gained the freedom to focus on my strengths, as well as take on the visionary role in my business. In 2017 I’ll be focusing on what I’m good at: creating great blog posts, writing amazing content, outlining good courses that create results and engaging in my community. The theme for next year? CREATE!
5) Planning out our content and launches much more in depth
We’re in January now, and I’ve already planned out my content through March, including podcast and blog topics, release dates, timelines and who is making the images. As well, this year we’re using a content calendar to help with our planning. Solid planning for our launch last November is what made it be such a success, our first 6-figure launch ever, and good planning can do the same for all aspects of the business.
6) Masterminding and investing in my business
Not only did I invest in my business by committing to another year of James Wedmore’s mastermind (which was one of the best decisions I’ve made, by the way!), I’ll also be planning for some getaways to live events. All of this will continue to grow myself; if you want to grow your business, you have to invest the time and/or money in yourself!
7) Traveling and playing as a form of work
At the end of last year, I went to Disney World for a week, doing a successful affiliate launch from there while only working 20 to 30 minutes a day! Not only did I leave there as one of the top affiliates in the promotion, I felt refreshed, and I learned that it’s not selfish to do these types of things for yourself. For me to continue helping people to create amazing results, I need to take care of myself.
Remember, scaling your business isn’t about putting so much work on your plate that you’ll be swamped. It’s about what’s working, what’s not and how you are going to scale moving forward in your business.
